Wavy! I like this one a lot. When people bring up Jigga man’s catalog, they never give this one a shout

Reasonable Doubt set the framework for an empire. Blueprint is a close second

Black Album, don’t know if it his best but definitely my favorite

I think the best in my opinion is Reasonable Doubt. Personally I find it to be a complete rap album. He has the soulful beats, the gritty boom bap, the word play and double/triple entendres, he has the samples, the skits, and of course the storytelling. He touches on the darker side of street life, losin ya man’s and how the riches you get from it never really heal the pain from the things you’ve done. He is very introspective. On 22 Two’s he delivers a freestyle which helps to complete the album as a rap masterpiece. He clearly has the bravado and cockiness of a veteran rapper.
To top it off this was his FIRST ALBUM. I think this takes the cake personally for me.

Well said, we appreciate the breakdowns if they’re given out here

Good three but people slept on “in my lifetime” vol 1
-
I respect it; what’s your top 3 tracks off this one?
Streets is Watching, City Is Mine and Where I’m From are mine
-
Solid 3! That intro does hit different, Jigga man was not playing around
-
-
Vol.1 is slept on. Best album to me and Jay won’t admit it it’s his top 3💯
-
Hard Knock Life was the album I feel truly established Hov but overall greatest is possibly Blueprint
-
I feel like Hard Knock Life is often slept on OR there are Jay fans who only like him at blueprint and beyond

Solid 3; his consistency around that American Gangster time was something graceful
